The network SURVI

In 2016 the 1st Intestinal Vascular Emergency Structure (Structure d’URgences Vasculaires Intestinales – SURVI) was established at APHP, within the Bichat and Beaujon hospitals, specifically dedicated to the management of intestinal ischemia and vascular diseases. Following the model of Stroke Centers and Cardiology Intensive Care Units SURVI aims to improve the catastrophic prognosis of mesenteric infarction.

The therapeutic strategy of SURVI, developed by Professor Olivier Corcos, focuses on preserving intestinal viability and utilizes a multidisciplinary, case-by-case approach. It involves collaboration between gastroenterologists specializing in vascular digestive diseases, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, digestive surgeons, anesthesiologists-intensivists, and cardiologists.
